Laos national caught with large quantity of synthetic drugs

VOV.VN -Border guards operating in the central province of Quang Binh have successfully arrested a Laotian man following his attempts to smuggle a large amount of drugs into the country.

According to initial reports, local police forces caught a Laotian national red-handed as he attempted to cross the border whilst carrying 797 pills of synthetic drugs. The arrest took place at 8:00 on November 19 in Lom village of Trong Hoa commune in Minh Hoa district.

Upon being questioned by police, the Laotian suspect confessed to being hired by a Vietnamese person to transport the large drugs haul from Laos into Vietnam for a fee of 600,000 Lao kip.

The case is currently under further investigation.
