NA Chairwoman joins parade for Humanitarian Month 2019

VOV.VN - National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan participated in a parade near Hoan Kiem lake on the morning of May 11 in response to Humanitarian Month 2019.

An opening ceremony to mark the start of Humanitarian Month 2019 was held on the morning of May 11.
In attendance at the event was NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan
along with Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.
The event draws the participation of large numbers of local people from Hanoi
Upon addressing the launching ceremony, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam affirms that 2019 is the first year that Humanitarian Month has been held on a nationwide scale. He notes that the purpose of it is to spread the humanitarian spirit across the country.

Following the ceremony, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan takes part in a parade around Hoan Kiem Lake to mark the start of Humanitarian Month.
 

A large number of  citizens joined her in the parade around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Last year the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS) had organised a pilot ‘Humanitarian Month’ in Hanoi as well as in other cities and provinces nationwide under the direction of the Party Central Committee.
In recent time, the VRCS has also directed localities to organise a wide range of activities to mark the Humanitarian Month and mobilized resources from organisations and philanthropists across the country.
More than VND150 billion has so far been raised during Humanitarian month 2019
