Nghe An police catch two drug traffickers

VOV.VN - Border guards in the central province of Nghe An arrested two men (siblings) on March 8 who were caught smuggling 18,000 methamphetamine pills and two cakes of heroin over the border from Laos to Vietnam.

At 5am, border guards co-ordinated with the police of Xiengkhuang province in Laos to apprehend two Lao national drug traffickers for transporting drugs in the Xiengkhuang locality. 

The two drug traffickers live in Yodngeum, Muangpek district in the province of Xiengkhuang in Laos.

At present, local police have handed the drugs over to the relevant Lao agencies for further investigation under the agreement annually signed between Vietnam and Laos on fighting trans-national crime.
