Office workers test for SARS-CoV-2 on first working day after Tet

VOV.VN - Several agencies have made employees undergo novel coronavirus (COVID-19) testing upon their return to work after the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet holiday.

On February 17, the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, workers must do a SARS-CoV-2 test before being allowed to enter their office.

The move comes as part of prevention efforts to halt the spread of COVID-19, particularly as many people celebrated Tet in their hometown before returning to work in Hanoi.

All employees working at the National Assembly Building must fill in a medical declaration and undergo a COVID-19 test.

Hoang Duc Hanh, deputy director of the Department of Health, states authorities in Hanoi now require people returning to the city after Tet to complete health declarations, with the aim of preventing COVID-19 transmission coming from outside sources.

In line with the latest regulations, those returning from non-epidemic areas must submit their medical declaration online or via Bluezone, the COVID-19 tracing app.

Those returning from epidemic areas, including Hai Duong and Quang Ninh provinces, must inform local authorities and complete medical declaration forms at health stations in communes and wards.
