One arrested for trafficking women to China

VOV.VN -Police in Nghe An province arrested a Vietnamese national on May 30 for allegedly trafficking women to China.

According to initial reports, police forces stopped a passenger bus, registration plate 37B-013.18, as it was travelling from An Son town in Anh Don district at 16:15 on May 29.

After conducting a search of the vehicle, the police placed Vu Thi Huyen, 34, of Ke Gia village, Thach Ngan commune, Con Cuong district, under arrest as she was in the process of trafficking two other women to China.

Huyen admitted that she had taken the two women from Mong Cai city in Quang Ninh province to be sold in China for a price of VND17 million each.

The police are currently expanding their investigation to find more people involved in the trafficking operation.
