VOV.VN - Military forces and relevant units have intensified their relief efforts as a means of helping the affected residents in the central region overcome the aftermath of the recent historic flooding.

The past two days have seen military helicopter dispatched in order to drop relief goods for residents in Huong Viet commune of Huong Hoa district in Quang Tri province, an area which has been left isolated due to severe flooding

Local authorities in Huong Hoa district mobilise a working group consisting of 17 people, including district leaders and medical doctors, to walk through the forest road and provide relief aid to residents of Huong Viet commune.

The working group brings an array of essential food items and medicine for local people, whilst medical experts are on hand to provide check-ups for people injured in the recent floods.

Authorities in Huong Hoa district also dispatch 10 trucks carrying goods and daily necessities to Quang Binh province, with the convoy following the Ho Chi Minh road in order to reach Huong Lap and Huong Viet communes.

Due to a major landslide hitting an area to the west of the Ho Chi Minh road, a helicopter is mobilised as a means of supplying relief goods to residents of Huong Viet commune.
