Ring smuggling Chinese nationals into Vietnam busted in Ha Tinh

VOV.VN - The border guard force of the central province of Ha Tinh said on February 22 that they have recently broken up a crime ring smuggling Chinese people into Vietnam before facilitating them to enter Laos.

Officers stationed at Cau Treo International Border Gate in collaboration with relevant agencies at midday on February 20 caught red handed two Vietnamese driving a car carrying three Chinese citizens. The Chinese nationals had entered Vietnam illegally and were on their way to Laos.

The local pair were identified as Nguyen Trong Dung and Vu Van Trong of Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces, whilst the Chinese nationals were identified as Chen Zhi He, Li Yong Jia, and Wu Kai Tao, all of whom reside in Guangdong province.

Since early February the provincial border guard force has arrested nine suspects of two criminal groups charged with sending Chinese people into Vietnam and then entering Laos.
