Traffic safety linked to leaders’ responsibilities

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh has emphasized leader’s accountability in securing traffic safety at a January 4 online meeting hosted by the National Committee on Traffic Safety in Hanoi.

The Deputy PM called for improved state management efficiency, traffic safety and local leaders’ accountability. 

He said deterrent fines should be imposed to prevent threats of traffic safety. 

Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister attended the launching ceremony of the Year for Traffic Safety in 2017. He recalled the Prime Minister’s directive to ensure public transport service and prevention of congestion.

To ensure safe travelling during the upcoming Lunar New Year festival, Hoa Binh asked ministries, agencies and local authorities to seriously abide by the Prime Minister’s urgent notice on traffic safety and social order maintenance.
