Unexploded bomb unearthed in Quang Tri
(VOV) - A 340-kg bomb was successfully defused by disposal experts in Quang Tri central province on October 30.
Earlier, a local person Ho Van Hai in Sa Ly commune, Huong Son village, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province found the bomb in the entrails of earth when he was seeking waste materials. He immediately reported it to local authorities.

The M117 bomb, which is 1.5m length, was manufactured by the US. It is believed to be dropped by US planes in Quang Tri during the war.
This is the 16th bomb that Quang Tri has discovered and safely disabled this year.
