US business shares labour experience with Vietnam

(VOV) - On May 12, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) and the US Manpower Group signed a memorandum of understanding on exchanging experience in labour and employment for the term 2015-2018.

The MoU covers specific content: building and completing a legal framework for adjusting the labour market, supporting the policy-making process regarding employment service, applying legal regulations on rehiring workers and soft skills training.

Accordingly, Manpower will be responsible for providing technical assistance and favourable conditions for implementing cooperative programmes. Meanwhile, the MoLISA will assist Manpower in working with other Vietnamese business partners under the cooperative programme.

The objective is to generate more jobs towards a good labour market with stronger economic development and improve competitiveness to meet requirements on skills during the international integration process.
