Vietnam Book Day 2019 celebrated nationwide

VOV.VN - Thousands of people took place in a wide range of activities across the country on April 19 to mark Vietnam Book Day 2019.

A book festival opens at the National Library of Vietnam in Hanoi on April 19. The opening of the festival is to commemorate Vietnam Book Day which falls on April 21 annually.
The festival is free for all those wishing to attend until May 5.
The northern province of Son La played host to an exhibition on April 19 that displays different genres of books and allowed visitors of all backgrounds to come and sample them.
The event was organised by Son La province’s Department of Information and Communication and was popular with book lovers of all ages.
A number of foreigners were also keen to take part in the event.
Books were put on display neatly.
 
 
On display were nearly 10,000 books covering a variety of fields such as politics, society, culture, and the economy.
 
The event had something for everyone with children mostly being keen on comic books.
Students showed a big interest in books on history and mathematics.
The three-day event hopes to promote a reading culture among the nation’s young people.
On the same day, more than 1,500 books were introduced to book worms on Buon Ma Thuot street in the central highland province of Dak Lak as part of the activities to celebrate Vietnam Book Day 2019.
