Vietnam - China peoples’ friendship meeting
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and its Chinese counterpart held a friendship meeting in Hanoi on November 9 with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China Zhang Dejiang in attendance.
In his speech, Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) President Nguyen Thien Nhan said the stable and developed relations and people to people exchanges between Vietnam and China would contribute to peace and stability.
He asked for more bilateral cooperation in investment, tourism and trade.
“Vietnam respects the development of its friendship cooperation with China, considering it a strategic and top priority in foreign policy. In the world’s complicated context, both countries are persistent on the path towards socialism and in the process of renovation and reform, which are in need of peaceful and facilitating environment for national development," the VFF leader said.
Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China Zhang Dejiang expected the event to contribute to the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.
