Vietnam Embassy joins charity bazaar in Slovakia

(VOV) -Vietnam Embassy personnel have joined representatives from 34 other foreign countries setting up booths at the International Christmas Bazaar in Bratislava, Slovakia.

At the event, residents of the capital city and visitors had an opportunity to ‘travel the world’ under a single roof and buy specialties from various nooks and corners of the world, from maple syrup offered in the Canadian booth to traditional Vietnamese handicrafts.

Embassy personnel reported the Vietnamese booth showcased the country’s traditional products and cuisine, which were well received by a large number of international guests.

Most prominent among them was Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajcak and his wife.

The annual fair organized by International Women's Club of Bratislava has a very strong charitable dimension and Vietnamese donors contributed a grand total of US$1,120 to the worthy causes.
