Vietnam, Mexico strengthen work on acupuncture therapy
A delegation from the National Hospital of Acupuncture (NHA) led by Director Nguyen Ba Quang paid a working visit to Mexico from June 18-24 to seek the possibility of expanding cooperation in this traditional medical treatment.
He vowed to provide scholarships for NHA staff’s children to study in Mexico as well as ozone therapy equipment to the Vietnam High-tech Acupuncture Centre to treat autism and stroke patients.
Vietnam currently operates three acupuncture centres in Mexico’s capital city, Monterrey city and Zacatecas state.
Over the past 15 years, the facilities have offered check-ups and treatment to more than half a million Mexican patients. The NHA also held an acupuncture master’s degree course for 20 medical staff in the host country.
