Vietnam repatriates home 390 citizens from Myanmar

VOV.VN - Vietnam brought home 390 citizens from Myanmar on two flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, both of which departed on March 4.

Strict security, safety, and hygiene measures were enforced by Vietnam Airlines during the course of the flights in an effort to protect the health of passengers and prevent possible novel coronavirus (COVID-19) transmission.

Upon arrival in Vietnam, all passengers and crew members were given health checks before being placed into quarantine at State-designated facilities.

The Vietnam Embassy in Myanmar earlier informed the Vietnamese community and Vietnamese enterprises based in Myanmar about details of the repatriation effort through its official website. In line with this, additional repatriation flights will be running, giving priority to those facing challenging circumstances.
