National Futsal HDBank Championship 2018 to kick off

VOV.VN -The National Futsal HDBank Championship 2018 will be held in Danang and Ho Chi Minh City on May 1-December 31.

It was released at a press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 19.

The tournament has attracted the participation of 12 futsal teams and will be divided into two stages.

The first stage will take place on May 1-9 at Danang's Tien Son Sports Arena with the participation of 6 teams, namely Cao Bang, Tan Hiep Hung, Hoang Thu Danang, Sanets Tourist Khanh Hoa, Kim Toan Danang, and VietFootball.

Accordingly, 6 teams will compete in a round robin format to choose 4 winners to enter the second stage.

The second stage, which consists of first leg (May 13-June 3 in Danang), and second leg (November 24-Decebmer 3 in Ho Chi Minh City), will include 10 teams (4 winners in the first stage and 6 leading teams in the previous championship).

The winner of the championship will represent the country to compete at AFC Futsal Club Championship 2019 while the second-place team will compete at AFF Futsal Club Championship 2019.

The champion will receive a gold medal and VND300 million. The second and third prize winners will be given silver and bronze medals along with VND150 million and VND80 million, respectively.

The National Futsal HDBank Championships 2018 is jointly organized by Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and sponsored by HD Bank.
