Tien Minh, Vu Thi Trang out of badminton’s world top 50

VOV.VN - Vietnamese badminton players Nguyen Tien Minh and Vu Thi Trang have drifted outside of the world’s top 50 players, according to the latest Badminton World Federation rankings.

In the men’s single rankings, Nguyen Tien Minh has fallen 3 places, from 48th to 51st position, due to his failure to defend his championship title, losing in the quarter-finals of the Ciputra Hanoi - Yonex Sunrise Vietnam International Challenge 2018.

His teammate Pham Cao Cuong has jumped 2 places to stand at 82nd position in men’s single rankings.

In women’s single rankings, Vu Thi Trang has fallen 3 positions, the same as her husband, Nguyen Tien Minh. She is placed 51st in the world’s ranking list.

Her teammate Nguyen Thuy Linh has risen 1 step to 67th in the world.

The pair, Do Tuan Duc-Pham Nhu Thao, have climbed 4 steps to 53rd in the world couples’ rankings thanks to their championship title in the Ciputra Hanoi - Yonex Sunrise Vietnam International Challenge 2018.
