Vietnam bags silver medal at Asian Nations Chess Cup

The Vietnamese men’s team won a silver medal in the blitz chess category of the Asian Nations Cup, which took place in the United Arab Emirates on April 7.

The team lost to China 1-3 in the final match. 

With the presence of former world champion Le Quang Liem, the squad won four matches and lost only one in the qualifying round. 

The team also beat Iran’s team in the semi-final round. 

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese women’s team finished in fifth place at the tournament.
