Vietnam sepak takraw team wins gold at ABG5

VOV.VN - It took 10 years, but the national women’s sepak takraw team has at last won an historic gold medal in international competition. The win came at the 5th edition of the Asian Beach Games (ABG5) in Danang.

The national team wins the first set convincingly with a score of 21-9.

In the second set, the team maintains their momentum. 

Taking the lead 19-11.

Players tire from the sweltering heat.

The team only needs two more points to win their first gold.

However, Myanmar rises to the occasion

But, Do Thi Nguyen promptly scores two points to secure the victory.

This is a well-deserved result after 10 years of effort.

The team overcomes many strong opponents to win the gold medal.

The win represents the 11th gold medal for the Vietnam sports delegation at ABG 5.
