Vietnamese futsal team up three spots in rankings

Vietnam defeated Guatemala 4-2 in Group C’s opening match of the FIFA World Cup Futsal on September 12.

With the loss to Vietnam, Guatemala dropped nine places to world No 33.

Iran are Asia’s top team at No 6 in the world, followed by Japan, No 14, and Thailand, No 15. Vietnam ranked sixth in the continent.

Brazil topped the world, followed by Spain, Russia and Italy.
