Vietnamese player triumphs at int’l badminton tourney in New Zealand

One week earlier, he was crowned the champion of the Yonex North Harbour 2019, also held in the country.

Minh, ranked number 64 in the world, won all the five of his matches to take the trophy. He defeated aspiring top Chinese player Gao Zhengze, who was also his rival at the final of the previous tournament, after three sets of 14-21, 21-16 and 21-17.
