Ba Ria-Vung Tau to promote tourism potential on BBC

VOV.VN - The Tourism Department of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, southern Vietnam, has signed a deal with BBC Global News in order to advertise the region’s tourism industry to foreign travelers into the post-novel coronavirus (COVID-19) period.

The move will see numerous videos aimed at promoting Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s tourism broadcast on BBC Global News’s television channel in the Asia-Pacific region, with each clip having a running time of 30 seconds.

Tran Thi Thu Hien, deputy director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s Department of Tourism, said videos will be broadcast between 9:30 a.m. and 7p.m. every day until June 2.

The clips are made to introduce the spectacular natural beauty of local landscapes and to promote new entertainment activities taking place in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The promotion effort is being launched to send a message that the country is ready to welcome the return of foreign tourists after reopening its door following a long hiatus caused by the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with greater co-operation with various cities and provinces across the country to attract more domestic arrivals, the locality will continue to work alongside international media to promote tourism abroad, Hien noted.
