Impending impact of storm No.5 causes cancellation of domestic flights
VOV.VN - Tan Son Nhat International Airport authorities have issued an announcement on several flights to be canceled and delayed due to the immediate impact of storm No.5.
The airport has also advised passengers to contact representatives of the carriers that they will fly with, or booking offices from which they purchased tickets in order to stay up to date with the status of their respective flights.
Passengers are able to contact domestic carriers on the following hotlines: Vietnam Airlines: 1900 1100, Jetstar Pacific Airlines: 1900 1550, VietJet Air: 1900 1886; and Bamboo Airways: 1900 1166.
The National Center for Hydro - Meteorological Forecasting have announced that storm No.5 will move close to the south-central coast, threatening areas from Quang Ngai province to Khanh Hoa province on October 30. The weather pattern is expected to affect the activities of a number of airports, including those in Tuy Hoa, Phu Cat, Cam Ranh, Buon Ma Thuot, Lien Khuong, and Pleiku.
As a result of the immediate impact of the storm, the Southern Airport Authority has released a list of airports that will temporarily suspend flight operations.
To cope with the extreme weather, Phu Cat and Tuy Hoa airports will suspend operations from 12:00 on October 30 through to 1:00 on October 31, while Cam Ranh International Airport will stop flights from 15:00 on October 30 to 1:00 on October 31.
In addition to these suspensions, Buon Ma Thuot, Lien Khuong, and Pleiku airports will also be halting operations between 18:00 on October 30 and 8:00 on October 31.
