The airline announced on April 29 it has already started selling tickets on the new routes and would start flying them three times a week on June 1 utilizing 180 passenger Airbus A320 aircraft.
The route comes about as part of a new code-sharing strategy between Jetstar Pacific and national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, said Le Hong Ha, CEO of Jetstar, and is part of a strategy to diversify and promote tourism in the localities.
On the occasion, Jetstar is offering special US$1.50 one-way regional launch fares through May 1 for the first 2,000 purchasers.
