First Teddy Bear Museum to be inaugurated this month

VOV.VN - A Teddy Bear Museum, the first of its kind in Vietnam, is set to be put into operation on April 21 at the Phu Quoc United Center in Phu Quoc island city.

This will be the eighth museum in a series of the Teddy Bear Museum Jeju of the Republic of Korea which have been built around the world.

Teddy Bear Museum Phu Quoc United Center will open as a franchise between Vinpearl One-member Limited Liability Company and JS&F Inc., the owner of Teddy Bear Museum Jeju.

As the country’s debut museum specifically for teddy bears, the sight has an investment capital of US$2 million and will exhibit 500 unique objects relating to the toys expected to offer an interesting experience to visiting tourists.

The museum will span a total area of 1,500 square metres, with the entrance gate set to feature a giant teddy bear statue waving to visitors standing at an impressive height of 15 metres. This represents a typical feature of all Teddy Bear Museums located around the world.

The site also includes plenty of stories about the adventures of famous explorer Indiana Jones, with teddy bears playing the main roles in those adventures.

One particularly fun exhibit features teddy bears transforming into football fans to cheer on the national football squad during their run to the final of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship in 2018.

There will be a special corner set up to display teddy bears wearing purple Ao Dai, the nation’s traditional long dress, and Non La, a conical hat, in Hue city. Another space is reserved for visitors to discover Ha Long Bay as well as vacations at Vinpearl resorts and other tourism complexes.

An entertainment area will also be included for children to play interesting games, join interaction activity, and pose for art photographs.
