Sunflower fields abloom across northern Vietnam

VOV.VN - It’s October, autumn in northern Vietnam, and the sunflowers in the fields with their golden heads as wide as sombreros lifted towards the sun are more beautiful than any other time of the year.

Sown in the spring, sunflowers grow by early fall into mature plants up to 1.5 metres tall.

Another favourite sunflower field can be found in Bac Ninh City.

The field is near an old pagoda in the Khac Niem Ward of Bac Ninh City.

Buddhist followers sow the fields.
