Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific lay on extra flights for Tet travellers

VOV.VN - Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific will provide seven extra flights with nearly 1,300 seats to serve the increased demand for travel between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi before the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

Accordingly, from February 12-14, Vietnam Airlines will offer one more flight departing at 2.50pm from Hanoi to HCM City and one flight leaving HCM City for Hanoi at 6pm daily. Meanwhile Jetstar Pacific will lay on one extra flight leaving HCM City at 10.30am on February 13.

All available sources have been mobilized to serve the travelling demands of customers during Tet as planned. Vietnam Airlines have implemented many flexible management measures, such as carrying out maintenance at night, optimizing the work schedule of pilots and air stewards, and mobilizing all reserve forces to serve Tet.

During Tet, Vietjet has also added an extra 560 flights with 100,800 seats.

According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam, more than 4 million passengers will travel via Tan Son Nhat Airport during Tet 2018, a year-on year rise of 25%.
