Australian, Vietnamese PMs hold phone talks

(VOV) -Vietnam and Australia have agreed upon developing an action plan between now and 2017 to realize a Declaration on Enhancing the Vietnam-Australia Comprehensive Partnership toward signing the revised plan of action soon.

During their phone call on April 1, PM Nguyen Tan Dung and his Australian counterpart, Tony Abbott were unanimous in assigning the two foreign ministries to work hand in hand in realizing the outcomes of PM Dung’s recent visit to Australia.

The Vietnamese government leader reiterated Australia’s request to finalize procedures on granting licenses for Vietnamese agricultural products exported to Australia. He also asked Australia to set up a food control office in Vietnam to ensure the quality of import products in line with Australia’s standards and reduce risks for Vietnamese exporters.

Australian PM Abbott concurred with Mr. Dung’s proposals and expressed his nation’s desire to propel bilateral trade and investment links forward.
