VOV.VN - Retail petrol prices rose between VND370-500 per litre from 3pm on January 18 to approximately VND22,500 per litre for RON95-III following the latest review by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

Accordingly, the retail price of E5 RON 92 climbed by VND370 to VND21,410 per litre, while that of RON 95-III was up by VND550 to VND22,480 per litre.

The ceiling prices of diesel oil and kerosene were offered at VND20,190 and VND20,530 per litre, edging up by VND490 and VND200 per litre, respectively.

The price of mazut was capped at VND15,500 per kilogramme, down by VND310.

In the latest adjustment, the two ministries decided to use the petrol price stabilisation fund for mazut oil, at VND300 per kilogramme.

Since the beginning of the year, petrol prices have undergone three adjustments, including two rises, and one drop.

According to industry insiders, the global petroleum market from January 11 to 18 witnessed a slight increase due to the escalating tensions in the Middle East, China's slow economic recovery, the Red Sea turmoil and the dollar gain.
