Int’l Travel Mart promotes Vietnam tourism

(VOV) -The 2013 Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) will be held at the Hanoi International Exhibition Centre from April 18 to 21.

The event is organised by the Vietnam Tourism Association (VTA), Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), and Hanoi People's Committee.

VTA Deputy Chairman Vu The Binh announced the plans for VITM 2013 at a press conference on January 28.

It is expected to feature more than 400 booths, including 150 put up by international enterprises.

VITM 2013 is a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese travel agencies, tourism companies, and airlines to introduce high quality products and services to potential customers.

It will help domestic and foreign travel operators form trade partnerships and expand their business for inbound, and outbound tours. VITM hopes to raise awareness regarding the rights of international travelers, particularly those protecting Vietnamese people when journeying abroad.

A number of foreign and domestic airlines, such as Vietjet Air, are expected to hold ticket sales during the event.

Five tourism seminars and a series of traditional performances—including exhibitions of Vietnam’s intangible cultural heritage—are also scheduled as part of the VITM’s framework.
