A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) attended the 8th congress of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML), which took place in the Nepalese city of Butwal from Feb. 16-22.

The delegation, led by Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, member of the CPV Central Committee (CPV CC), conveyed a message of greetings from the CPV CC to the congress and worked with the CPN-UML’s International Department.

The CPN-UML’s General Secretary, Jhala Nath Khanal, praised the CPV’s leadership and Vietnam’s achievements in its renovation process. He expressed his wish to promote the friendship and cooperation between the two parties and the two countries.

The 8th CPN-UML attracted the participation of 1,800 party members and 45 foreign representatives from 16 countries around the world.
