Vietnam will host a conference of the Association of National Police Forces of the ASEAN region (ASEANAPOL) and hold the presidency of the association this year.
The conference, which will be held in Hanoi from May 13-15 with the theme of building ASEAN countries’ Police Forces for a stable and developed ASEAN, is expected to draw the participation of 300 representatives from 10 ASEAN countries, five associate members, Interpol and the regional association.
It will discuss cooperation in fighting against crimes, drug and human trafficking, terrorism, weapon smuggling as well as financial, banking and hi-tech criminals.
The conference will also touch on establishment a secretary board for ASEANAPOL and judicial support among member countries.
