Various events mark CPV’s foundation, welcome Party Congress

(VOV) -The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is set to launch abroad array of cultural activities  celebrating the 86th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3, 1930).

An arts performance programme on the evening of January 3, at the Park 23/09 will be a major highlight of the event.

Other activities are also planned such as a photo exhibition along Dong Khoi Street from February 2-17, and boat and cycle races around the city.


On the occasion, social policies beneficiaries, war veterans, families of martyrs and wounded soldiers, and veteran Party members will receive support from the municipal authorities.

Meanwhile, a string of cultural activities to celebrate the 12th National Party Congress and the New Lunar Year are get underway in Hanoi.

Deputy head of Hanoi’s Old Quarter management board Dang Ngoc Tien said, “We will introduce Tet celebrations of Hanoians through an exhibition of traditional craft villages. Traditional folk paintings will be on display at the Center for Cultural Exchange of Hanoi’s Old Quarter These activities will contribute t the preservation and promotion of the tangible and intangible cultural heritages of Hanoi.”
