Speaking to representatives of war invalids and revolutionary veterans in Ha Nam province at a meeting on July 25, Mr Triet stressed that the Party, State and people attach importance to implementing the national movements “Drinking water, remembering the source”, and “paying debts of gratitude” to war invalids, families of war martyrs and other social policy beneficiaries.
He praised the war invalids and beneficiaries for their brave efforts to overcome daily difficulties and hardships, and expressed wish that they would uphold national glorious traditions to actively participate in social activities and set shining models for younger generations.
The President visited and presented gifts to war invalids at the Liem Can, Kim Bang and Duy Tien War Invalids Care Centres in the province.
The Party, State and people never forget the significant contribution and lofty sacrifices of heroes, war invalids and martyrs, and those who rendered services to the nation in the past struggle for national liberation and defence, says State President Nguyen Minh Triet.
