Vietnam receives COVID-19 vaccine donation from Czech Republic
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Heath on August 30 received a haul of 250,800 COVID-19 vaccine doses donated by the Government of the Czech Republic.
The shipment, worth approximately US$1.3 million, equivalent of VND30 billion, consists of 210,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and 40,800 doses of the Moderna vaccine.
Upon arrival, the vaccines transported by UPS, an American multinational shipping and supply chain management company, were immediately transferred to storage facilities in line with the manufacturer's recommendations.
Vietnam has so far received roughly 27 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines from various different sources, including over three million doses of Pfizer, 17 million doses of AstraZeneca, more than five million doses of Moderna, 12,000 doses of Sputnik-V, and 2.5 million doses of Sinopharm.
As of August 29, the country has vaccinated over 19.3 million people nationwide.
