Debut ‘Made in Vietnam’ goods week to be held in Hanoi
VOV.VN - The first ever ‘Made in Vietnam’ goods week is due to get underway in Hanoi from October 23 to October 25, with the King Ly Thai To flower garden hosting the event.
The occasion is being organised by Central Retail Group, in co-ordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with the administration of Hanoi.
The purpose of the event is to encourage local people to respond positively to the “Vietnamese people give priority to consuming Vietnamese goods” campaign.
The week will see approximately 100 booths showcase domestic products, such as coffee, tea, cashew nuts, peppers, seafood, garments and textiles, along with handbags.
The launch of ‘Made in Vietnam’ goods week marks another version of a Vietnamese goods week that had previously been held four times in Thailand between 2016 and 2019. However, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic Thailand’s Central Retail Group decided to organise the event in Hanoi instead.
Simultaneously, the group will also hold the ‘Made in Vietnam’ goods week in over 200 stores and supermarkets nationwide that belong to Central Retail Group, including Go!, Big C, Robins, Nguyen Kim, and LanChi.
