Vietnamese, Cambodian women boost cooperation
(VOV) -Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa , President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) and Men Som Oi, President of the Cambodian Women for Peace and Development organization (CWPD), signed a cooperation agreement for the 2013-2017 period in Phnom Penh on January 21.
The agreement is an important landmark in strengthening cooperation between the women’s organizations.
On this occasion, both leaders and staff members were awarded merit and friendship medals for their contributions to strengthening the traditional ties of solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
In the framework of the five-day visit, the VWU delegation will meet with Say Chhum, Chairman of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), worked leaders of CWPD and visit a women-sponsored project in Phnom Penh.
