According to the centre, Kon Plong district had recorded dozens of earthquakes with a magnitude of no more than 4.0 from April to June 2021, causing no natural disaster risk.

The Institute of Geophysics has set up an additional monitoring station in order to better understand and promptly warn of dangerous geological phenomena, if any.
