Foreign media suggest exploring hidden gems in Vietnam
VOV.VN - International travel website Ritz Herald has recommended the Top 9 beautiful yet lesser-known places around Vietnam where travelers can enjoy the benefits of untouched nature, pristine beauty, and a peaceful atmosphere without crowds of tourists who often flock to more well-known attractions.
Topping the list is Ba Be Lake, a must-visit destination that tourists should not miss out. Covering a total area of more than 23,000 hectares, the lake is widely considered the largest of its kind in Vietnam and is listed among the 16 most beautiful in the world. The lake is actually made of three smaller ones which are connected through a system of wide channels, about eight km in length.
Ban Gioc Waterfall in the northeastern province of Cao Bang comes second. The waterfall that marks the country’s border with China, has water dropping from a height of 30 metres into a natural amphitheater of lush greenery. The surroundings are a breathtaking combination of towering limestone cliffs, clear blue water, and vibrant vegetation.
Third position goes to Nguom Ngao Cave which is famed for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites, shimmering underground rivers, and a unique ecosystem which is home to an array of rare species of plants and animals.
Pu Luong Nature Reserve is in fourth position and is a must-see attraction in Thanh Hoa province. It offers visitors panoramic views of wide terraced rice fields, towering limestone peaks, and cascading waterfalls.
The final place among the Top 5 is Lang Co Bay which is a stunningly picturesque and unspoiled beach in Thua Thien-Hue province. The bay boasts crystal-clear waters, pristine sandy beaches, and a serene atmosphere which is perfect for relaxation.
Others featured among the Top 9 hidden gems are Ly Son Island, a lovely destination off the coast of Quang Ngai, known for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear water, and unique cultural heritage; Yang Bay waterfall, which is a hidden gem nestled in the lush jungle of Khanh Hoa; Tra Su Cajuput Forest located in An Giang province which is well-known for its stunning landscape of cajuput trees, lotus ponds, and diverse wildlife; and Con Dao Island which is quickly gaining popularity among tourists due to its unique charm, pristine beaches with crystal-clear water, white sands, and diverse marine life.
Vietnam boasts plenty of diverse landscapes, ranging from bustling cities to serene countryside and breathtaking mountains to stunning beaches. While popular destinations such as Ha Long Bay, Hoi An Ancient Town, and Phu Quoc Island continue to attract thousands of visitors each year, there are many lesser-known places which also offer pristine scenic beauty which is untouched nature, according to travel website Ritz Herald.
