Music gala commemorates 30 years of Vietnam-RoK diplomatic relations

VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City hosted a music gala on September 6 to mark the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) which began in 1992.

The concert introduced performances by boyband B-Boy The Goonies Crew and girl band Queen from the RoK. The artists performed 17 instrumental pieces and dances featuring both traditional and modern songs.

Established in 2008 the Queen toured around 50 cities across 30 countries worldwide, putting on 80 performances and introducing traditional Korean musical instruments to an array of international friends.

At the concert held in Ho Chi Minh City the band also performed the famous song “Hello Vietnam” while playing Korean musical instruments.

Meanwhile, students from Ho Chi Minh City-based Van Lang University joined Korean singers in dances, leaving a great impression on local audiences in attendance.

The event was jointly organised by the RoK Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Van Lang University under the sponsorship of the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange. It is part of activities getting underway to mark 30 years of bilateral diplomacy between Vietnam and the RoK.
