Vietnam wins medals at Int’l Biology Olympiad

The silver medal went to Le Thi Nguyet Hang from Danang while Pham Minh Duc from Nam Dinh, Tran Le Quoc Khanh from Ho Chi Minh City and Dao Trong Doanh from Hai Phong earned three bronze medals.

Welcoming Vietnamese students back from Indonesia on July 13, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Vinh Hien described their results as encouraging, reasoning that conditions for studying biology in Vietnam is not as favourable as for other subjects.

This year’s event was attended by 200 students from around the globe competing in theoretical and practical tests.

Vietnam will host the 27^th IBO in 2016.
