Draft laws under NA discussion

One of the heated topics at the meeting chaired by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan were penalties applied to juvenile offenders under revisions to the 2015 Penal Code.

Many deputies agreed that offenders aged between 14 and under 16 should bear penal liability, citing the trend of crimes committed by young people. Lawmakers also debated the revised law on the management and use of state property, the revised law on support for small and medium-sized enterprises and the law on planning.
