Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh is now placed 24th on the Badminton World Federation rankings after his triumph at the recent Robot Vietnam Challenge 2008.

According to the announcement on July 10, Minh has jumped three places from last week’s position with a total of 34,896 points to leave Hong Kong’s Ng Wei behind.

As a result, Minh will have the added advantages of being drawn to play at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in August.
