Sympathy to Thailand over damage caused by storms
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has extended sympathy to his Thai counterpart Prayut Chan-o-cha over great losses in humans and property caused by storms Podul and Kajiki and subsequent floods in Thailand’s northeastern, central and northern regions.

The Straits Times reported that as consequences of the two tropical storms, since late last month, over 400,000 households and more than 3,000 sq km of plantations in the regions have been damaged.
The total economic losses are not immediately known, but according to Thailand’s Industry Ministry, damage to factories has amounted to an estimated 133 million baht (4.3 million USD).
