Vietnam to play friendly with India after FIFA lifts ban on AIFF

VOV.VN - The Vietnam national team will take on India in a tournament held by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) this September following FIFA’s decision to lift the suspension imposed on the All India Football Federation (AIFF) due to undue third-party influence.

The tournament will take place during scheduled FIFA dates, with fixtures being played at the Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City from September 21 to September 27. The three teams, including Vietnam, India, and Singapore, will compete in a round-robin format.

Vietnam will face Singapore on September 21 and India six days later, while the match between Singapore and India is slated for September 24.

The friendly tournament is part of a plan to get the national team ready for the AFF MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CUP 2022, a biennial football competition organised by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF).
