Society Hanoi lifts restrictions on last coronavirus hotspot Wednesday, 15:27, 06/05/2020 VOV.VN - Restrictions on Ha Loi village in Hanoi’s outlying Me Linh district – a COVID-19 hotspot in the capital city – will be lifted as of May 6. Hanoi authorities imposed a lockdown on Ha Loi village on April 8 after a COVID-19 case was detected in the locality. A further 12 cases had been confirmed in the village afterwards. Nearly 11,000 local residents had tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the COVID-19 disease. They are now in stable health condition, with no one displaying abnormal symptoms. During the past 28 days, the residents have cooperated well with the local administration by strictly following regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control. Me Linh district has established 74 surveillance groups, monitoring the residents’ health every day, encouraging them to abide by health recommendations, and timely detecting any suspected cases. Ha Loi village is the second coronavirus hotpot in Hanoi capital after the outbreak at Bach Mai hospital – the country’s largest hotspot with more than 40 positive cases confirmed. Due to the outbreak at Ha Loi village, the government’s social distancing order had been extended in Hanoi for another week compared to other localities in the country.
