Concert to feature piano ensembles

“Furious & Lyrical,” which is among a series of concerts held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the HCMC Conservatory of Music, will take place on April 22 and feature piano ensemble works with participation of two guest vocalists.

Audiences of the concert will have a chance to enjoy effervescent piano ensemble works performed by a group of pianists of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, including Thy Nga, Dieu Thao, Nguyen Trinh, Dieu Tinh, and Khanh Ha.

Two sopranos Anne-Victoria Coat from France and Pham Khanh Ngoc of Vietnam will join the show.

The two-part concert will stage passionate piano works like Lutoslawsky’s Variations on a theme of Paganini, Borodin’s Polotvsian Dances, Dukas’ L’apprenti sorcier, there are lyrical romantic songs of G.F.Handel, Clara Schumann, S.Rachmaninov and G.Verdi.

Standard and VIP tickets for the show are priced at VND200,000 and VND250,000 respectively.

The show will begin at 7:30 pm at a concert hall of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music at 112 Nguyen Du Street in District 1.
