Vietnam Airlines to add nearly 4,000 seats on Hanoi–HCM City route

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced on February 15 that it will add nearly 4,000 seats on wide-body aircraft on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route between now and February 17 to meet increasing demand following the Lunar New Year festival. 

The move will raise the total to 40,000 seats during the period. 

Earlier from February 9-11 (the fifth – seventh day of the Lunar New Year), the carrier offered additional 200-400 seats per day on the route, raising the total to 9,000 – 10,000 per day. 

During peak times from January 20 – February 11, Vietnam Airlines safely conducted about 8,000 domestic and international flights, serving around 1.3 million passengers with a punctuality rate of 90 percent on average.
