A delegation from the National Assembly led by Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong left Hanoi on September 2 to attend a meeting of parliamentary speakers from the G20 countries in Canada and later pay an official visit to Cuba.
The visit was made at the invitation of the Speaker of the Canadian Senate Noel Kinsella and the chairman of Cuban NA Ricardo Alarcon De Quesada.
The delegation includes Nguyen Van Son, a member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), and the chairman of the NA Committee for External Relations; Tran Dinh Dan, PCC member and Chairman of the NA Office; Ngo Quang Xuan, vice chairman of the NA Committee for External Relations; Nghiem Vu Khai, vice chairman of the NA Committee for Science, Technology and Environment; Vu Viet Ngoan, vice chairman of the NA Economic Committee; Ngo Tu Nam, vice chairman of the NA Law Committee, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Canada, Le Sy Vuong Ha, and the Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba, Vu Chi Cong.
