Vietnam aims to have 20,000 vocational training teachers up to standard by 2015.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thien Nhan presided over a meeting with the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) in Hanoi on August to discuss solutions to the current shortage of vocational training teachers.

Mr Nhan affirmed that from now to the end of this year the country will break through obstacles in vocational training. He asked the two ministries to build a detailed training plan to submit the Government before August 30. The training project must be completed by the end of October to be sent to the Prime Minister for approval in December.
